In this collaborative lecture program, three artists who participated in this past summer’s Monhegan Artists’ Residency will each present a slideshow presentation of their work, including highlights from their experience creating work on island. Susan Danly, President of the Board of Directors of the Monhegan Artists’ Residency, will also share some of the Residency’s history and its mission in supporting the creative growth of dedicated Maine artists by providing them time and space in which to work in the inspiring environment of Monhegan Island.

The three artists include Barbara Sullivan of Solon who makes fresco reliefs of everyday objects; Krisanne Baker of Waldoboro who creates multimedia environmental arts on behalf of water quality, availability, and rights; and Michelle Hauser of South Thomaston who explores natural events that tilt Maine’s landscape into abstraction using painting, photography and a convergence of both mediums. Following the presentations there will be an opportunity for Q&A.
